This book is inspired by the shoes which

AA Welcome

This is the list of book titles and the basic story lines for these books. No mater how hard I try I don't seem to manage to get much beyond these ideas. The blog will be an interesting aid memoire for me. I would be interested in any ideas, and expansions of plots you may like to add.

Moving Shadows

This book was inspired from my children making shadow animals on the wall and some of the less than clear shadows I saw on my bedroom wall one morning.

The story follows a family through multiple generations. It focuses on the current times. It looks at their perceptions of their family, it lack of cohesion and the analysis of how the past has influenced the current.

Chapters reveil events in the past, glimses of absolute truths which undermine the perception of past events. The past shifts understanding, the current time needs to adjust to each revelation.

Chapter : The Orphans Estranged.
In this chapter the current family live in the believe that one of their grandparents were orphaned some time between 1900 and 1910. The circumstances are not known as to why the family are orphaned. A small family group of three children. Two older brothers and one baby sister are orphaned and placed into what becomes known as one of the cruelessed institutions for orphans in Scotland. The grandparent is the middle boy. Now, common family knowledge was that the eldest boy left the orphanage. It was understood he had come of age. The other siblings were left behind. The boy, all of 16 years, would have had a choice, a Hobsons choice, to also have his siblings leave with him, but they were left behind. This left the remaining siblings with stong resentment against the eldest brother for leaving then when he could have taken them with him, him being of age. Years pass and families grown the siblings finally leave the orphanage together, and have their own families. The passed filled with pain and abandonment from the living and the dead.

The hinge : the passed glimsed.
A small section about a boy adopted from an orphanage and having to leave his brother and sister behind. The cruelty of a system that does not affort time to children to explain circumstances, them fearing upset is not good for a childs constitution. The eldest leaves, to a comfortable home, with some happiness and tinged with the sadness of leaving his brother and sister behind, without so much as a good by.
